This online course is about incorporating disability perspectives into all phases of disaster risk reduction: prevention; preparedness, response, and recovery.
We call this: Disability-inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DiDRR).
This is part 2 of the DiDRR course. Please only proceed if you have completed the basic program.
WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE
This course is designed for disaster risk reduction (DRR) policy makers and professionals both at the central and local levels. DRR policy makers and professionals are major change agents in DiDRR. DRR policy makers at the central level can develop DRR laws, policies, and systems with vision. DRR policy makers at the local level can translate the vision into practice with detailed policies and actions.
Of course, we welcome other stakeholders such as disability policy makers, organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), disability advocates and their allies to promote DiDRR.
The Advanced course is specifically designed for course takers with prior experience in implementing DiDRR. In this module, you will be requested to share your hands-on experience in DiDRR program implementation and assess its outcomes.

- Increased awareness and understanding of the importance of DiDRR;
- Examples, references, and resources helpful to implement DiDRR; And hopefully,
